Have you graduated with a Master of Science degree? Are you looking for a fast-paced, successful career in industry or business? Have you ever considered a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PDEng)?

The PDEng ‘Smart Energy Buildings and Cities’ (PDEng Seb&C) provides a post-master programme with a stronger industrial orientation than a traditional PhD programme. During the two year course, PDEng trainees will receive first-hand industrial experience. The innovative and entrepreneurial aspects of smart energy solutions for the built environment play an important role in these studies.

This PDEng programme trains MSc graduates to become technological designers. After graduating, PDEng trainees will be capable of applying their knowledge to a process of integral designing in order to create or support a dedicated, smart energy system for the built environment.

A Smart Energy Buildings and Cities designer can contribute to the development of:

  • Intelligent and energy efficient building components and/or
  • Building concepts, aimed at the intelligent use of energy saving and/or
  • Intelligent networks, aimed at the alignment of the supply and demand of energy.

Once you successfully complete the Designer’s programme, you will receive a certified diploma and are entitled to use the academic degree ‘Professional Doctorate in Engineering’ (PDEng).
