Co-Location Center Alps Valleys is in charge of developing KIC InnoEnergy’s actions in France, by promoting innovation, business creation and education initiatives in the field of low carbon energy.
Located in Grenoble, the colocation is leveraging on a regional innovation oriented environment, as well as on existing industrial clusters dedicated to energy technological innovation, Tenerrdis and Capenergies.
In addition to these operational activities, Colocation Centre Alps Valleys is in charge of the scientific coordination of activities in its core competencies: sustainable nuclear and convergence renewable and nuclear".
News from the CCAV
First Entrepreneurs on board
The KIC InnoEnergy Highway has its first "passengers" at CC Alps Valleys.
AROL ENERGY specialised in biogas upgarding and conversion systems, Mhy Energie proposing storage solutions for off-grid sites, and Solarjet , a company producing organic printed solarcells, have signed the contract with our incubator and are on the assesment process.
This assesment will allow KIC InnoEnergy 's business creation services to build a highly added value proposal of services adapted to the entrepreneurs need.
Three more candidates are willing to sign the contrat shortly.
The participation of the KIC InnoEnergy to Grenoble Innovation Fair has significantly contributed to catching entrepreneurs.

In 2011, Colocation Centre Alps Valleys leads five innovation projects. Research centres work closely with companies and industrials in developing innovative technologies leading to new products and services.

Education programs
EMINE (European Master in Innovation in Nuclear Energy), a new approach of nuclear training, has launched its first intake from september 2011.
This track , developed in close collaboration with Grenoble Ecole de Management, introduces learning modules on innovation and energy management. The programme includes also an international mobility to partner universities in Colocation Iberia and Colocation Sweden. Four main industrials in the field of nuclear energy are partners to the project.
A specialised PhD programme including international mobility and training in innovation and entrepreneurship as well as a strong coupling to the industry is also starting in 2012, please check : PhD Sustainable Nuclear and Converging technologies for available positions.
